Lancaster Family History Conference. The conference will be held at the Farm and Home Center in Lancaster. Planned activities include research and field trips Tuesday through Friday, and the full-day conference on Saturday, which offers the choice of 18 genealogical topics. Keynote address is by noted Mennonite historian and author, John L. Ruth. Registration opened on January 3.

Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIPPIT)". Here is an opportunity to delve into a genealogical topic with like-minded classmates. Each five-day week offers six courses led by experienced genealogical researchers, lecturers, and writers who bring their expertise into the classroom with case studies and problem-solving exercises. The Institute is held in Pittsburgh at LaRoche College. On-line registration begins on February 22 for the June session, and on March 8 for the July session.

Historical Society of Pennsylvania. "Researching Family in Pennsylvania" is a weeklong course designed for all levels of genealogical exploration from beginner to advanced. Sponsored by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) and the Greater Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the course will be held at the Historical Society, 1300 Locust Street, Philadelphia. Federation of Genealogical Societies 2017 Conference. To be held in Pittsburgh PA at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
