Special project - Funeral Home Records: The Old York Road Historical Society holds the funeral home records for the Helweg Funeral Service of Jenkintown and the Baron Rowland Funeral Home of Abington. Old York Road Genealogical Society members volunteered many hours to index the records on a spreadsheet that can be sorted. The project was completed January 2015. The information is available at the Old York Road Historical Society at 515 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown (website: OYRHS.org; phone 215-886-8590)
