Hatboro Cemetery (Montgomery County) records completed and go on-line

Check out the work Maria Starliper accomplished (with a little help from her friends): http://usgwarchives.net/pa/montgomery/hatborocem/readme.html. The file lists all the Hatboro Cemetery files submitted in the Tombstone Project located on the USGenWeb Archives website. Please ignore the "index" files listing the tombstones by alphabetical category. For the new listings by alphabetical range see Surnames A-G, Surnames H-Q, and Surnames R-Z

Well, it's finally done! We completed the Hatboro Cemetery Project--4,817 interments. Copies have been submitted to the Abington Free Library, Bucks County Historical Society, the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, Montgomery County Historical Society, the Old York Road Historical Society, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, Union Library Company of Hatboro, Upper Moreland Free Public Library, Upper Moreland Historical Association, and Valley Forge Family History Center.

Under the direction of Maria Starliper, this project was a major undertaking (no pun intended). Members who helped record the readings included Mary Ann and Art Burke, Bob O'Connor, Tim Coyne, Frank Devlin, Kathryn Donovan, Lynne Friedel, Mary Gallagher, Herbert Hart, Dave Hasiuk, Ken and Arlene Hayes, Rae Hemingway, Pauline Hornberger, Helen and Walt Leopold, Bob McClurken, Nancy McGarvey, Brian McHugh, John Meehan, Kenneth Miller, Joan Miles, Florence Miley, Ed and Lori Momorella, Dottie Rodgers, Anna Sassa, George Schok, Betty Smith, Barbara Van Hook, Mary and Allen Walker, Suzanne Wiley, Mary Zadroga, and Case Zwart. Helping out with inputting were Christine Aller, Jane Benner, Loretta Houston, Jean Ransford, and Case Zwart. Members Christine Aller and Joan Miles assisted Maria by reviewing the final project before it was released.

Hopefully, the successful completion of this project will inspire our group (and others) to take on other projects to benefit the genealogical community.
